Abortion: America’s Mortal Sin

Abortion target

Abortion has become America’s mortal sin. Since January 22, 1973, the issue of taking the life of a human being in his or her mother’s womb has been politicized by the Supreme Court of the United States. In a 5-4 decision that changed America forever, around 60 million lives have been terminated before they ever began to breathe. How were they terminated? By being chopped up with a knife, by being vacuumed out of the womb, or poisoned with a saline solution. To witness this abomination, click here. And it’s not just 60 million missing lives. Those 60 million men and women would have had many more children and grandchildren.

The Constitution

Is abortion in the Constitution? How did the 5 Justices arrive at this newly discovered “right” for a woman to kill her own baby? They said that there was an implied “right to privacy” in the constitution, and this means that abortion is now a newly discovered American right. THAT is a huge leap of logic. There is no specifically enumerated right to privacy in the Constitution (the 4th amendment does protect us from unreasonable search and seizure), and there is no specified right to an abortion in the Constitution. So what they decided is that an implied Constitutional right-to-privacy (from the 4th Amendment) means it’s now okay to kill your baby in the womb in America. The founding fathers are turning over in their graves concerning this tortured “interpretation” of the Constitution. This newly discovered right to kill babies in the womb most certainly does NOT square with the inalienable “right to life” that IS in the Declaration of Independence. The Supreme Court of 1973 seems to have ignored that completely. The Supreme Court seems to have fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah 13:18:

“Their bows will slaughter the young men; they will have no mercy on the fruit of the womb; their eyes will not pity children.”

Planned Parenthood

Margaret Sanger, a eugenicist and the founder of Planned Parenthood in 1916, wanted contraception and abortion to be legal so that the black race would be exterminated. She even admitted in a letter:

“We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population…” ,Letter to Dr. Clarence J. Gamble, December 10, 1939, p. 2

And if that isn’t bad enough, she even spoke to the Ku Klux Klan:

“I accepted an invitation to talk to the women’s branch of the Ku Klux Klan… I was escorted to the platform, was introduced, and began to speak…In the end, through simple illustrations I believed I had accomplished my purpose. A dozen invitations to speak to similar groups were proffered.”, Margaret Sanger, An Autobiography, published in 1938, p. 366-367

She conditioned the black preachers of her day to go along with abortion, with the promise of a brighter future for their race if they had fewer children and fewer slums. Martin Luther King even went along with her agenda! The evidence today, however, proves that that premise was totally false. Killing your own children leads to hell on earth, not heaven.

Artificial Birth Control

Artificial birth control, the precursor to abortion, came about as a Christian practice during the Anglican Lambeth Conference in England, in 1930. Resolution 15 was passed, which stated:

“in those cases where there is such a clearly felt moral obligation to limit or avoid parenthood, and where there is a morally sound reason for avoiding complete abstinence, the Conference agrees that other methods may be used, provided that this is done in the light of the same Christian principles.”

This was the first time a Christian organization had ever condoned artificial birth control. The London Times then predicted that this resolution would change the “social and moral life” of humanity. How right they were. Today, we even have so-called Christian “pastors” blessing abortion clinics (The Lambeth Conference had came out against abortion!).

In America, the legalization of abortion (by judicial fiat, not by legislation) occurred about 13 years after “the pill” was invented in 1960. This pill, which keeps women from getting pregnant (most of the time) even if they have sex, separated the procreational aspect of sex from the pleasurable aspect of sex, something that God put together for a reason when he invented sex. The pill thus became an escape mechanism for men to have recreational sex with women, a great tool indeed for males on the prowl who only want to use women for the enjoyment that their bodies give them. What the pill manufacturers didn’t tell their customers is that the pill itself is an abortifacient, also killing innocent life. However, use of the pill comes with a great risk of venereal disease, which the pill does not prevent. Venereal disease is proof positive that recreational sex is not of God, but of the devil, who gives it to his unknowing servants on earth as a reward for their tomcatting around. If having multiple sex partners for recreational pleasure is a good thing, then it doesn’t seem plausible to sane people that VD would occur as a result.

And when the pill fails, which it does from time to time, the next alternative to escape responsibility for fornication or adultery morphs into the killing of the innocent baby through abortion. It seems that in every country where contraception became legal, abortion soon followed. Once sex became a recreational sport instead of a way to sanctify one’s marriage, nothing would stand in the way of illicit pleasure, not even killing. St. Pope Paul VI warned all of us about this in 1968, with his Humane Vitae encyclical, but he was severely chastised for coming out against artificial birth control. The Canadian bishops came out against this encyclical, as well as many other worldly priests, who counseled women to ignore Church teaching and just follow their own conscience. The grisly deaths of 60 million dead Americans testify to the horrors predicted by this great Pope.

Supreme Court or Supreme Being

Sadly, many people put their faith in the Supreme Court, rather than in the Supreme Being,
God, who very plainly said in Exodus 20:13, “Thou shalt not kill.” It’s amazing that so many people are against the biblically-sanctioned death penalty, but who then turn around and favor the death penalty for innocent babies in the womb.

It’s important to remember that the second command given to man (after telling him NOT to eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil) was to

“Be fruitful and multiply,”, Genesis 1:28.

He again repeated this command to Noah after the great flood, in Genesis 9:1. As if to let us all know He really wanted this for mankind, He once again repeated this command to be fruitful and multiply to Jacob in Genesis 35:11. God never said to contracept or to abort the child, if personal pleasure or circumstances get in the way. In fact, he condemns the useless spilling of a man’s seed in Genesis 38:9-10.

The Bible speaks several places in regard to the sanctity of the womb. Psalm 139:13 says:

“For thou didst form my inward parts, thou didst knit me together in my mother’s womb.”

This verse explains that God is indeed creating humans in the womb; NOT just when we’re born.

In Jeremiah 1:5, God says:

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

This verse shows that God has a plan for us even before he creates us in the womb. For man to thwart God’s plan through the killing of His creation is an abomination.

Similarly, God says in Isaiah 44:24 that He formed Isaiah from the womb:

“Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, who formed you from the womb: “I am the LORD, who made all things, who stretched out the heavens alone, who spread out the earth — Who was with me?”

In Luke 1:43-44, Elizabeth, the cousin of Mary, says:

“And why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For behold, when the voice of your greeting came to my ears, the babe in my womb leaped for joy.”

Notice that Elizabeth called Mary a mother, even though she hadn’t yet given birth to Jesus. Also, the fetus (which means “offspring”), aka John the Baptist, leaped for joy upon hearing Mary’s voice, which is quite a feat for a so-called “unviable tissue mass”.

It is really sad that so many women kill their own children. It would seem that the prophecy of Jesus has indeed come true in this age:

Luke 23:29 “For behold, the days are coming when they will say, `Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never gave suck!”

Human sacrifice to the pagan god Molech was practiced in the Old Testament, and was condemned by God. America, since 1973, is now doing the exact same thing, only in the name of “choice” instead of “Molech.”

The Wages of Sin

America will pay a terrible price for all of these killings. Pharaoh (Exodus 1:22) and King Herod (Matthew 2:16) were rank amateurs at killing innocent children compared to our “Supreme” Court. 60 million dead babies is more than half of the number of people killed in the twentieth century by Communist dictatorships! Think about this – Maybe one of the aborted children would have become a great president that could have led us out of a future nuclear war, or a great inventor who could have solved the energy crisis, or a great scientist that could have cured deadly diseases, etc. Sadly, we will never know.

The devil knows that he can’t get God, so he attacks His children, just like the Mafia would do to one of its turncoats, because he knows that killing someone’s children is worse to the parents than killing them would be. The devil hates it that we aren’t made in his image instead of God’s, so he attacks God’s helpless children in the womb while being created.

There is a huge chasm between Christians and abortionists. Why? Because Jesus said, “This is my body, which is given for you,” while the abortionist says, “This is my body, and it is mine to do with as I please.”

God help us all if this slaughter is not stopped soon. We know that God does not punish nations immediately for their sins, but rather, He patiently waits to see if the sinful nations will turn from their evil and repent:

“For in the case of the other nations the Lord waits patiently to punish them until they have reached the full measure of their sins;” 2 Maccabees 6:14

One has to wonder just how much longer America has for its measure to be filled up. The language twisters have tried to soften the blow of the word “infanticide” to “pro-choice.” But “pro-choice” means pro-death. The anti-pro-lifers say that they have the freedom to choose. We pro-lifers should always say back to them, “The freedom to choose WHAT?” The freedom to choose LIFE or DEATH is the correct answer. The devil fooled Adam and Eve into wanting to be gods, and he is still fooling people today with that same ruse. Choosing who shall live and who shall die among innocent people is God’s right, not man’s. As the bible says:

“I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live.”, Deuteronomy 30:19

This is reiterated in the ancient Teaching of the 12 Apostles (The Didache):

“Do not murder a child by abortion or kill a newborn infant.”

Church Leadership

Sadly, 69 US Catholic Bishops just voted that abortion is NOT the pre-eminent social issue in America today. May God help them to see the truth and horror of abortion.

  1. Great article. I would like to point out that Roe v. Wade that legalized abortion was decided by a 7-2 decision instead of 5-4. May the abortion holocaust end soon. God have mercy!

  2. I think this has reversed words, “If having multiple sex partners for recreational pleasure is a good thing, then it doesn’t seem plausible to sane people that VD would occur as a result.”

  4. Wisdom 1: 12-14
Do not court death by your erring way of life, nor draw to yourselves destruction by the works of your hands. Because God did not make death, nor does he rejoice in the destruction of the living. For he fashioned all things that they might have being, and the creatures of the world are wholesome.
