  1. For the life of me, I can’t find anything or anywhere on your Website where I can subscribe to Catholic Stand. I may like to submit something in the future — I’m a retiree, professional writer most of my life (reporter, speech writer, editor, public relations, etc.), but now devote my time, besides with six adult children adn 26 grandkids, to pro-life involvement and Catholic apologetics. I’m a subscriber and supporter of EWTN, Natl Catholic Register, Catholic Answers, Population Research Institute, Hosea Initiative, Renewal Ministries, the Coming Home Network, St. Paul Center — to name some. Also, a 3rd degree K of C, and former paratrooper. My old news nose has me delving into research online and with books, all faith related. Your Web site mentioned a subscriber’s column on the right side but I can’t find it anywhere. I found this Web site by googling for Pope St. Paul VI’s comment about the smoke of satan entering the church. So, how do I subscribe (with any fees of course). Praise God!

    1. Jack,
I was pleasantly surprised to find accurate, objective (not perfect) information about Garabandal on Catholic Stand. This was rare. You write that you support some of the biggest offenders. EWTN, National CAtholic Register and Catholic Answers have done much to mislead, if not deceive their followers on the Church’s position on and our proper response to the reported apparitions at Garabandal. I will supply details if you like. It would be wonderful if you have some influence with these. Keep up the pro-life work.

  2. thank you sooooooo very much for Catholic Stand – it is so needed by so many of us.

I have read your Open Letter to Bishops – and I could not agree more.
Yes we suffer as there are good Bishops – absolutely there are – but there are bad Bishops and bad Cardinals and bad priests.– and they have caused havoc, suffering, destruction and most of all to the very Faith itself.

Yes we need a Plan – and you finally are bringing it together –

It is desperately needed as we the sheep, are being scattered, deliberately – what do we do?

We need to organize and work together in a serious well planned way – things will get worse. May The Lord help us and Our Blessed Mother protect us

    Maria

    1. I was raised and attended Church as a Methodist, tried the Baptists as an adult, was LDS too (a big mistake, but I learned). I have Researched all religions but will always be Christian primarily, even though I have yet to find a faith that feels complete. I have always had answers to my prayers by reaching within from a very young age and not by going to others, and I feel strongly that I am in a good place and exactly where God wants me to be in what is trying times for most others. I have never worshipped money but do appreciate the goods that it can be traded for, and as a result enjoy many amenities on what is considered a low income. My tithing is given to honest non-religious charities that I research beforehand.

Once I attended a Catholic service a few years ago, where I remained standing with others and was re-affirmed in that faith by water sprinkling from where I stood in the pew.
To this day I do not understand why I stood to be re-affirmed as I have never been baptized Catholic and that was my first and last attendance to date. The recognized Catholic church does not appeal to me as there is too much mysticism attached and too many ‘bad’ priests being caught for theft and child sex abuse, and too many spectacular and wealthy vestments, jewelry, status rankings, statues, etc.
But this approach seems logical and practical, and is worthy of my time and study.
Thank you for the courage to come forth with a hopefully practical dimension to Christianity that is not based on fear, status and wealth. I look forward to when this webpage and your whole website is completed.
      In Christian fellowship,
      Sharon
