The Search for Justice and the Devil’s Dare: Correction

aggravations, Coronavirus, sin

Dogs In Church

On August 13, 2016, Catholic Stand published “The Search for Justice and the Devil’s Dare”, by Ramon Antonio A. Aldana. As Mr. Aldana’s managing editor, I was responsible for setting the essay up for publication. However, in doing so, I neglected to change the author’s field, which defaulted to “Anthony S. Layne”. As a consequence, “The Search for Justice” was attributed to me and not to Mr. Aldana until August 19, when I discovered the error and corrected it.

Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.

I did not intend to take credit for Mr. Aldana’s writing, or to do injury to Mr. Aldana, whom I respect as a writer and a colleague. Since the error was public, so must be the correction. I offer my humblest apologies to Mr. Aldana, to my friends and colleagues here at Catholic Stand, and to you our loyal readers.

Your brother in Christ,

Anthony S. Layne

  1. Dear Anthony- For the record, I stand up most days at Mass and say, not quietly,”I confess to almighty God and to you my brothers and sisters that I have greatly sinned.” I am blest that we are not then and there required to list our sins out loud. You owe me zip apology. Stuff happens. And in some ways your “Correction” is one of the finest articles ever to appear hear. God bless and keep you. Guy McClung, San Antonio, Texas
