  1. The Liturgical Year is one thing I think other Christians miss out on when they set up their preching schedules. I know a great Pastor who is a wonderful godly man who loves his congregation. I also know his preaching schedule. He never takes time for Advent or Lent, and there isn’t a sense of a cycle of the seasons in his messages. He picks a book and goes through it, interrupting his salvation-seeking schedule to do a Christmas or Easter message when the holidays come around. I love the seasons – both in nature and in the Church. I admit I should celebrate them more with my family, but the rhythms of the Church truly help me make sense of my life. I should probably look up the author’s great book! Good review!
